Zealong’s premium organic Pure Oolong tea is sweet with fresh-tasting leaves that are un-roasted, bringing out the pure, natural flavor. The tender bud and top two leaves are tightly rolled and create a pale green-yellow infusion that exudes a buttery aroma with a hint of vanilla and toasted bread.
Zealong's hand-picked teas offer a premium flavor and nutrient profile. Certified organic and cultivated in the renowned Waikato region on New Zealand's North Island, the colder environment forces the flavor and nutrients into the newest growth, which Zealong meticulously harvests by hand-picking only the top three leaves. These award-winning teas are free from artificial flavors, oils, or additives.

Each pack is fully traceable to the date and block it was picked. The state-of-the-art processing facilities adhere to a strict HACCP ISO22000 food safety regime, eliminating any risk of contamination and free from harmful chemicals.

We offer free US shipping on any order over $100. Most orders are shipped via USPS, however you can select UPS if you prefer.
Orders are typically shipped within one - two business day and spend 2-5 days in transit (unless there is a special holiday schedule in place).

I'm afraid that this one isn't for me. I think that my palate isn't delicate/sophisticated for the gentle nature of this particular tea. I need something more robust. I believe I'll stay with black tea.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with the Pure Oolong. I completely understand - it’s definitely a very different style of tea! Because it’s only about 25% oxidized and unroasted, it’s much closer in character to a green tea, with that softer, more delicate flavor.
Since you enjoy the boldness of the Black Tea, I think you’d really like the Dark Oolong. It’s about 75% oxidized and roasted, so it has a deeper, more robust flavor profile - something between the Black and the Breakfast teas.
I really appreciate your honest feedback and the chance to help you find the one that best suits your taste.
There are some who probably love this tea but for me, it's not the traditional Oolong that I am used to. The flavor is VERY INTENSE, unfortunately too intense for my liking, but, as I mentioned, there are many people who will love it. Now the Zealong Breakfast Tea is beyond compare! Some of the best black tea that I've had in the 50+ years of tea drinking.

Thank you so much for sharing your honest thoughts, I really appreciate it! I completely understand where you’re coming from. Zealong’s Pure Oolong is quite different from the oolongs most people in the U.S. are used to - it’s only about 25% oxidized and completely unroasted, which gives it that brighter, more intense flavor.
Both the Pure and Aromatic Oolongs are very distinctive expressions, while the Dark Oolong is a bit closer in flavor profile to the traditional roasted oolongs many people are familiar with here in the US.

So glad we were able to figure out what happend to your package and that you are loving Zealong's tea - The Pure Oolong a very clean and tender oolong - it's very similar to the Green tea with slight hints of butter. Had to stock up on dis lovely Pure Organic Oolong as family members are loving the taste and quality of this oolong and always great when new tea sippuz join the quest for flava and organic tea. Thanks again to Carlye for the great customer service and quick shipping (same day actually), and the samples of the lovely green tea that I will definitely have to add soon ( darn you Carlye ) gettin me hooked on more great tea from Zealong, oh well could be worse things to njoy. Oolong tea, for me evokes a certain smokey flavor expectation. This un-roasted tea variety leans more towards a green tea. I got a grassy aroma and a bit of a vegetable flavor and a lingering hint of floral taste from this tea. I did enjoy it as and alternative to some of the green teas I regularly drink. I would recommend it as an occasional change things up cup of tea. I would purchase again.
