Zealong’s premium organic Green tea offers a silky, smooth infusion featuring floral notes, toasted chestnuts, and a subtle sweet finish. The top three leaves are slightly twisted with silver hues and create a pale, silvery green infusion that exudes a moonlight haze.
Zealong's hand-picked teas offer a premium flavor and nutrient profile. Certified organic and cultivated in the renowned Waikato region on New Zealand's North Island, the colder environment forces the flavor and nutrients into the newest growth, which Zealong meticulously harvests by hand-picking only the top three leaves. These award-winning teas are free from artificial flavors, oils, or additives.
Available in loose-leaf or tea bags, with the latter made from non-GMO, renewable plant sources, the tea bags are 100% food-safe, non-toxic, and compostable under the right conditions.
Each pack is fully traceable to the date and block it was picked. The state-of-the-art processing facilities adhere to a strict HACCP ISO22000 food safety regime, eliminating any risk of contamination and free from harmful chemicals.

Given widespread corruption with organic claims, it's more important than ever to find trusted sources. Zealong is grown in NZ with high standards, ethical practices, and verifiable organic certification. That is very valuable as far too many teas have toxins including heavy metals and pesticides which defeat the health benefits of tea. Love the taste, high quality of green tea. I've been searching for an organic green tea not made in China and I originally discovered Zealong on Amazon but the seller stopped selling it there so I'm glad I found it here which is better because Taria is the authorized dealer for Zealong in the US. Love me my green tea, but it’s hard to find truly organic green tea. I love this tea from New Zealand. Will admit that if it were available, I would go for a sharper flavor rather than the earthy, mellow one this has, but the one I was getting from Japan gave me some physical reactions, so I had to give it up. This tea is delicious and I’m steeping some every day now and enjoying it thoroughly.

You’re absolutely right, Zealong’s green tea is more earthy than a traditional Japanese sencha - different growing regions and processing methods bring out very different expressions of green tea. Thanks also for emailing me and letting me know that when you brewed the loose-leaf green it really opened up and became more crisp and sharp. I have also noticed the same thing - maybe it's because the leaves are able to fully open and release all the flavors! The other great thing about the loose-leaf is you can add more or less according to your taste preference.
I also deeply (and unfortuantly) relate to what you shared about physical reactions. I had similar experiences with other teas, even many labeled “organic”, which is why I personally drink ONLY Zealong now. I love the committment to purity, testing, and care that Zealong puts behind their estate and tea - it truly does make a difference and that's why we wanted to get their tea here in the U.S.
