Zealong’s premium organic Black tea creates a full-bodied, deep-amber infusion and woody aroma. The large whole leaves produce a taste is sweet and honeyed at the beginning, smooth and silky at the finish.

Zealong's hand-picked teas offer a premium flavor and nutrient profile. Certified organic and cultivated in the renowned Waikato region on New Zealand's North Island, the colder environment forces the flavor and nutrients into the newest growth, which Zealong meticulously harvests by hand-picking only the top three leaves. These award-winning teas are free from artificial flavors, oils, or additives.

Available in loose-leaf or tea bags, with the latter made from non-GMO, renewable plant sources, the tea bags are 100% food-safe, non-toxic, and compostable under the right conditions.

Each pack is fully traceable to the date and block it was picked. The state-of-the-art processing facilities adhere to a strict HACCP ISO22000 food safety regime, eliminating any risk of contamination and free from harmful chemicals.

Black tea or breakfast tea ?

I have spent years looking for the best black tea. I have sampled all sorts of black tea both from online companies and in person i in the US, UK, France, and Ireland. Without hesitation I can say that Zealong’s black tea is my favorite . It is so flavorful, rich and yet light. It is wonderful with milk or without milk. It needs no sweetener . I find myself looking forward to that first morning cup the night before. Yes, it is that good.
Recently, I purchased the breakfast tea. It too is an excellent tea. I still prefer the black tea, but I reach for the breakfast tea when I want to make a chai tea or if I just want a cup with a slightly darker, slightly smoky taste. I don’t like smoky teas but thie smoky flavor is very slight and just adds to the complexity of the tea. I am still experimenting with this tea but I think it will be perfect iced in the summer with a dash of lemon and lavender honey .
I also appreciate the little notes tucked into my orders. They are not necessary but I love reading them. This company cares about its customers and the quality of its products. Rare these days.

This is a GORGEOUS TEA! Its flavor is similar to a light floral Darjeeling tea, but better.
It is an experience drinking this tea and should be treated as such. It is a tea that should be savored.

Rich Flavor

I am always on the hunt for a good tea and I found it with this black tea. I guess I a simple gal, but I love the simply rich flavor of this tea. I also love knowing that it's safe to drink and not filled with plastic and ingredients I don't need.

This black tea is such a delightful surprise. It's smooth with a hint of sweetness. I drink alot of tea and this one is my favorite. Thank you

No acidic stomach upset with Zealong teas!

I rarely ever send reviews, and now this is my second review for Zealong teas! I wanted to add that none of the Zealong teas I have tried have caused an acidic upset stomach before I eat breakfast. When I drink any of the other brands of teas that we have in our pantry, I do get an upset stomach and have to eat food immediately. Thank you, Zealong teas! I received another shipment of Zealong teas today that I am looking forward to drinking and offering to our guests.

Having fun with ice tea

When I decided to be more intentional with my food choices, I thought about replacing coffee with tea and giving up alcohol. With the heat of the summer, ice tea is more inviting. I’m really enjoying the Zealong ice teas - I like the ritual of making tea, thinking about the great flavors and healthy choice in Zealong. And I appreciate the postcard that came with my first order which includes fun recipes. What a great replacement for alcohol.

I can completely relate to what you shared. After I had my first baby, my body just couldn’t tolerate alcohol anymore—no idea what changed, but something definitely did! one cup a day should have lasted me like a little over 3 months or so , because it has described the weight of the tea as an 100 cup on the Website

I wanted to quickly share a little clarification about the “100 cups” estimate on the website. That number is based on using 2 grams of tea per cup, which is a standard serving size. However, that can definitely vary depending on how strong you like your tea or the size of your brew. Some customers use a little more per cup, which can make the package go a bit faster.

Good flavor, weaker tea

The flavors were simply not strong enough for my taste and the tea didn't have the body I would expect for black varieties. I hope to see more offerings in the future that offer more robust flavor profiles. It's a great project and I wish them success.

I wanted to share that the sachets in the White Collection Sampler each contain 2 grams of tea (compared to the 2.5 grams found in our regular-sized sachets), so they’re designed as an introduction—a way to sample the different teas in a single-cup format, though they can sometimes come across as light if brewed in a larger mug.

Also, because Zealong is deeply committed to purity, they use no flavor granules, essential oils, or artificial additives in any of their teas—just high-quality, certified organic tea leaves and botanicals. This clean and natural approach does mean the flavor profile is often softer and more delicate than what’s experienced in more heavily flavored blends.
